My partner has finished 6 weeks of radiotherapy, he is on hormone injections and Enzalutamide. His radiotherapy finished 7 weeks ago and last month his PSA level was 1.6. This month it is 1.75. Should we be worried?

Hi Marietta and thank you for your post.
I'm sorry to read about your partner's diagnosis of prostate cancer and I appreciate that this is a worrying time right now.
While it's understandable to be worried, a minor increase in PSA following treatment may not be cause for immediate concern.
We know that the PSA level may actually rise after treatment has finished, and then fall again. This is called 'PSA Bounce'. It is normal, and doesn’t mean that the treatment has failed.
Maybe you and your partner could discuss your concerns with your partner’s hospital specialist.
I really hope you know more soon and that everything will be okay for you.
