  • Hi there JB and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about you being in the hospice at the moment, it sounds like this must be a difficult time for you.

It is only your specialist team who can say whether a treatment such as immunotherapy could have been used in your past or current situation.

As you can read on the information of the CRUK website Immunotherapy for bladder cancer is usually used when chemotherapy isn't suitable and if a patients cancer has high levels of a protein called PDL1 present on the cancer cell. This means not every patient with bladder cancer will be a suitable candidate for immunotherapy treatment.

I hope this is helpful but as I say I would speak with the doctor or nurse who is looking after you to ask these questions to.

    All the best

    Take care

    Naomi
