  • Hello Wickenlea

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell.

Do you have a number for the hospital perhaps a chemo shotline? Do give them a call this evening. It's best to get these symptoms checked.

If you don't have an out of hours number for the hospital then give NHS 111 a call and explain your situation to them.

As I said, best to get these symptoms checked out sooner rather than later.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Wickenlea

I'm sorry to learn you need chemotherapy treatment for your cancer diagnosis. I can imagine it is overwhelming.

If you experience side effects or complications from chemotherapy, or feel unwell while undergoing treatment, you should notify your hospital team immediately. You should call the 24-hour chemotherapy helpline provided by your hospital. If you haven't received a specific number, ask your nurse for it. Besides your hospital's helpline, you can also call 111 in England, Wales, and Scotland for urgent medical advice.

I hope this information is useful, and I hope you feel better soon.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5 pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards

    Tina
