Long term Ascites drain

I am halfway through my chemotherapy treatment for folicular lymphoma which has stopped the ascites fluid build up. Does a month without anything being drained mean that I can have the drain removed? The recent CT scan and ultra sound showed that there wasn't any fluid.

    Unfortunately, we can't as nurses, give you a medical opinion on this. You will have to discuss this with your clinical care team who are best placed to comment about this.

    They may have a treatment plan, and may want you to finish chemotherapy first before reviewing, but I don't know.
