Is there a list of NHS Hospitals that treat BCC with light? My local hospital in Basingstoke don't do MOHS or led light plus anti cancer chemicals. I understand led light is not for invasive BCC. So far I've found only Tounton
Thanks

Reading Royal Berkshire, Guys and St Thomas and University Hospitals Sussec Brighton do photodynamic therapy. Not sure if Taunton still do. The big problem is getting your hosptal to refer you to there. Otherwise you are looking at private treatment.

Hello, and thank you for your post.
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a type of light therapy that is used to treat some types of superficial (cancers that are not too deep), including some types of basal cell carcinomas (BCC). There is no list of hospitals that carry it out, however, you can see, when searching online, that there are some hospitals' websites showing they use it.
Your dermatologist or GP will know what the best treatment is for you. And if they think that PDT is the most appropriate treatment, they will know which hospital to refer you to. So, do discuss this with your GP or dermatologist.
You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care,
Caroline
