I start my chemo in a few weeks time. 12 sessions every 3 weeks. Most of what I have heard or read indicates that 6 sessions is the norm. Why the 12 sessions?
As we are not part of your care, I do not know why your doctor is suggesting 12 chemotherapy sessions for you. Some people have 6, a scan and bloods, and then another 6. It will be what they feel is best for you to give the best outcome. Do try and speak to them or your specialist nurse if you have one to find out what is happening for you.

OK thanks Sarah. I have a pre chemo chat in two weeks so will ask the question. The doctor did say he was going to go in 'hard and fast' during the previous meeting.
