Hello I’ve been diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer the nodule is small but it is Thy5 I am due to have a Hemithyroidectomy soon. Are there many instances of spread to lymph nodes from small papillary tumours?

Generally speaking, the smaller a nodule is, then the less likely that it has spread. However, I am not aware of any specific available statistics regarding this. Your surgical team will have this in mind, when planning your surgery. They are best placed to comment on this based on their assessment and experience.
