voice prosthesis

Hi how i can purches a voice prothesis

  • Hello and thanks for posting,

It is difficult for us to comment about this in depth. I am not sure if you are from the UK or not so will reply that covers both.

In the UK, most patients are treated by the National Health Service (NHS). This means that they are cared for by a specialist team, who would assess them and provide a voice prosthesis for them. There are private hospitals in the UK and some of the larger hospitals will have consultants who care for patients that require a voice prosthesis. You can search for private healthcare providers on the Private Health website. You would need to make enquiries with each hospital as to accessing an assessment by a specialist. We don't know of specific medical appliance websites that might sell voice prosthesis without a doctor's guidance.

The London Clinic provides care for UK and international private patients, and has specialists for voice disorders. There is one company severn healthcare that provides voice prostheses. You would need to contact them directly to see if they would provide these directly to a patient.

I hope that this reply is of some use,

    Kind regards,

    Vanda
