Advice needed

I have been diagnosed with lymphandopathy but my lymph nodes have reduced in 5 months and I can't seem to get any doctor to listen to me. I had an appointment at clinical immunology and doctor would not let me speak. It has taken 2 1/2 yrs in my face and neck and has gravitated to my armpit and arms, I have shocking pain in my kidney and spleen Areas, and literally everyone of the lymphoproliferative symptoms. Please can you advise what to do because none of the nhs doctors I have been to are listening to me. I physically cannot take any more pain in my arms and hands and I cry with the pain nearly all day everyday and often unable to even get myself off the bed. I live alone and I can't look after myself properly at the moment and don't have anyone to help as it's left me housebound for the last 18 months so I don't see anyone and my friends have since moved on.

Thankyou

  • Hi there and thanks for your post

I am sorry to hear about the symptoms you are experiencing and how this is affecting your everyday life.

Unfortunately symptoms can be caused by many different things and it is only a doctor who can assess you to run the most appropriate tests.

We always advise people to contact their doctor with any persisting or worsening symptoms. If you don't feel you are being listened to you may wish to ask to speak with a different GP or even change to a different GP practice.

Out of hours or in an emergency you can call NHS 111 for advice.

I hope you are able to speak to a doctor who will listen to you soon and can find out what may be going on.

Do remember there can be many reasons for symptoms and most won't be the result of a cancer. However if symptoms are going on for a while they often will need further investigating, just to be on the safe side.

    Take care

    Naomi
