Anasrtrozle gave me terrible side effects to the point of not being able to function.Has anyone else been met with this brick wall?

Has anyone got any advice ?

  • Hi Bryonyc and thank you for your post.

I am sorry to learn that you are having difficulty obtaining your prescription of exemestane. I can understand how distressing this can be.

Do ask the pharmacy if they can obtain it for you to begin with. If so, then ask about any possible delays in obtaining it. There may be other pharmacies in your area that can help. You may need to call them to enquire. If they are part of a chain pharmacy brand, they may be able to check this out with other branches.

I would recommend that you inform your hospital specialist of the situation and see what they advise.

I read that you have tried anastrozole but there are other aromatase inhibitors which you may be able to try.

I hope you can get this sorted out soon.

Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards

    Tina
