I am sorry to hear your wife is currently having some chemotherapy. The chemotherapy as well as the growth factor injections your wife is having can cause some spotting and irregular periods. Of course, if the bleeding becomes heavier make sure she contacts her chemotherapy unit.

If it remains light spotting it is fine for her to wait until she next goes in for chemo to let the doctors know, just so they are aware.
