Hi there Elizabethann and thanks for your post
I am sorry to hear about the treatments you have had that have affected your sense of smell and taste.
I appreciate how debilitating this must be for you and it is important to let your doctor know how this is impacting your life.
Depending on whether your olfactory bulbs have been surgically removed it may be possible to participate in some smell retraining. There is more information about this on our changes in your sense of smell web pages of the website.
You have probably already tried several things to help such as eating different textured food alongside spicy foods that can stimulate a sensation in your mouth whilst eating.
Speak with your specialist doctor or nurse so they can assess you and if needed refer you on for smell retraining.
I hope you get the help you need with this and can find a solution in gaining some smell and taste back.
Best wishes
Naomi
