Hello and thanks for posting
I'm sorry to read about your situation. It must be very frustrating to have muscle weakness, especially when it's making every day things like climbing stairs or walking up hills so difficult, and even more so when your doctors can't offer you a clear answer as to why you are experiencing this.
Certain treatments such as chemotherapy or side effects of medications, anaemia, an electrolyte ( fluid) imbalance or a vitamin deficiency may contribute to your symptoms.
The best thing to do is to discuss this further again with your haematology team at the hospital or your GP. They can advise you if you need to have further tests. If you have a specialist haematology nurse (CNS) involved in your care then perhaps they can provide you with further information or support. You often have to call and leave them a message and they will get back to you.
You have posted on the ask the nurses section of the forum but I see you are asking for other users experience. Anyone is welcome to reply on here but you may get more response from others who may be or have gone through similar by posting in a different section of the forum as well as here.
I hope this is of some use. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind Regards,
Celene
