I had a Bronchoscopy 3 days ago as I have cancer on my left lung 10cms in size. and I was wondering if the side effects of phlegm is normal 3 days later. I didn’t have any phlegm previously to this.. Thank you for reading x
It's not uncommon to experience some increased phlegm or mucus production for a few days after having a bronchoscopy. This procedure can irritate your airways which can cause this to happen
Hopefully, this will settle down soon, but if you feel that it's getting worse or not improving over the next week or so, then do contact your GP for further advice. If you have a lung specialist nurse involved in your care then perhaps they can provide you with further information. You often have to call and leave them a message and they will get back to you.
