Hello, my radiation plaque to treat eye cancer was removed from my eye 4 days ago, I have a telephone appointment with the hospital next week about screening. To be better prepared what questions should I ask?
It is difficult for us to be very specific on this as we are not doctors and are not involved in your clinical care, but I hope the following questions may be helpful for you to ask:
What type of screening will I need?
How often will these screenings be done?
What signs or symptoms should I be looking out for between appointments?
Who should I contact if I notice any changes?
If you have access to a specialist nurse involved at the hospital, then perhaps they can provide you with further information. You often have to call and leave them a message and they will get back to you.
