  • hello JanJan 2025 and thank you for posting,

I am sorry to learn of your situation; waiting for tests and test results can be stressful and worrying.

Unfortunately, until you have a colonoscopy, no one can say what the cause of your symptoms is.

I can appreciate that this is difficult because there is a lot of uncertainty, and often, during this time, people can feel they have no control. There is no right or wrong way to deal with these feelings. For some people, it can be helpful to carry on with daily activities such as working or meeting friends, but for others, this is not helpful.

I hope you do not have to wait too long before you can get answers. In the meantime, I hope you have family and friends who you can lean on during this time.

If you would like to speak with one of our nurses, we are available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and the freephone number to call is 0808 800 4040.

    take care

    Jemma
