Prostate Cancer and peeing a lot.

I have prostate cancer and at present receive hormone injections every 3 months and my latest PSA test was 0.13, my age is 85.

But I seem to be peeing a lot especially at night time could this be due to the treatment or the cancer?

Thank you for your time.

Roy.

  • Hi there and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about you needing hormone injections for prostate cancer and the amount of times you are needing to pass urine at night.

We have information about the common side effects of hormone therapy on our website, so do take a look. However frequency isn't usually one of them and if you have just noticed this change it is worth speaking to your doctor about it.

There may be another reason for this, such as drinking more fluids or later in the evening before going to sleep. Increasing the amount of caffeinated drinks you consume or a water infection.

To speak with your doctor about this to make sure nothing else is going on that needs treating.

    Best wishes
