calprotectin test 326 and CA125 52 is this cancer ?

Hi , 

Ive just had stool tests and my calprotectin is 236 , my doctor is asking me do some more and my CA125 IS 52 however I was on a heavy period when I had these done  . does this sound like cancer im going out of mind . ive been put through for a colonoscopy and im seeing my doctor again today due to the elevated blood results . please be honest if you think this is cancer . she did a rectal examination but said that seemed fine . there is obviously some sort of inflammation in my bowels but does this mean automatic cancer . im so stressed

    I can appreciate your concern at this present time.

    Unfortunately, we are not in a position to comment on someone's test results. As you mentioned, raised levels can indicate other medical conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease.

    So it is important to keep an open mind for now, as to what the results so far might suggest. Try and keep yourself busy and occupied, as this can help at this time.

    Hi , I understand that ... I have spoken with my doctor today and ive been referred for a scan at the cancer gynaecology triage to rule this out and then im going to have a colonoscopy. its all the waiting that is making me anxious . thanks for your reply , this is a great forum and has been very helpful reading other peoples posts
