If your mum is needing regular pain relief including morphine then this could be added to the syringe driver. However if your mum is only needing morphine occasionally this may not be necessary.
It is worth asking the doctor and nurses involved in your mum's care about this to make sure your mum is receiving her medication in the most appropriate route for her.
