Re sorethroat

Hi I’m sorry to be asking g more questions 

I ve had sore throat scince last June I just uncomfortable more than painful

tben it turned imto

to tonsillitis I had Clarithromycin and then ear spray as my ear was hurting I finished both lots of antibiotics and the the ear kept hurting so saw the nurse she said it was t my ear it was my throat and the pain in ear was referred pain

She gave erythromycin 2 tablet 4 times aday for 14 days 

I was just womdeimh could this be anything to do with the thyroid nodules I do

t expect it has hope you don’t mind me asking 

I had a blood test this morning to rule out glandular fever 

I feel I’m back to square one as last June I went about my constant sorr throat then nodules wete found and sore throat was kind of put on back boiler 

I feel I’m starting all over .

    I am sorry to hear about your persistent sore throats and can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you.

    It is really only your doctors involved in your care who can give an opinion on whether the nodules may be a cause of your sore throats. I would wait to see the results of the test for glandular fever first.

    If the sore throats don't be appearing to settle down you could always ask whether a referral to an ENT specialist may be a good idea. It would not be an urgent referral and you may have a bit of a wait for an appointment but it may help to get to the root of the problem as to why you are having these sore throats.

    I do hope that they settle down soon.
