Unfortunately without being involved in your care we can't give you a time frame about when you will see your oncologist following a Pet scan.
It will depend on how long it takes for pet scan to be looked at and a report written and for this to be seen by the oncologist. Sometimes test results are discussed by a team of specialists in a MDT prior to an appointment being arranged to discuss this and the next steps with the patient.
If a pet is arranged urgently then the results are often back within as little as a week or 2 but sometimes the wait may be longer. It may be worth contacting the hospital and speaking with either a specialist nurse (CNS) if you have one or the consultants secretary who may be able to tell you more.
