I am sorry to learn of your situation, this must be a difficult time,

I was unsure what type of surgery you are having. Your team at the hospital will be able to advise you and they may also refer you to a dietician.

What you can eat will depend on whether you have any problems following the surgery.

In general, it is recommended to eat small portions, for example, having 6 or 7 meals or snacks a day taking it slowly. There is a video in the above link that provides more information on the types of foods that may be helpful. Your hospital team who are involved in your care will be able to give you more information.

You may also find it useful to contact the cancer and nutrition helpline, this is a service run by dieticians.
