I’ve had colonoscopy, biopsies, ct scan and now have to have mri scan. No diagnosis of cancer yet…they are evidence gathering. Do people have all these tests and then do not have cancer?

Hi Kezzie and thank you for your post.
I am sorry to learn that you have symptoms that have required multiple scans and tests to try and determine the cause.
And that you are waiting for an MRI scan
It is possible to have these investigations and not have a cancer diagnosis, as other things can cause similar symptoms or can be benign (not cancer). These tests are about what is causing the problems for you.
I hope you know more soon and that everything will be okay for you.
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards
