My husband had a prostate biopsy four days ago, and today received a general outpatients appointment for one week after the biopsy. We do not know if this is a good sign (non-cancer) or very urgent. Can you give us any indication please?
I am sorry to learn that your husband has needed to have a prostate biopsy and I hope he is recovering well.
It is normal to get biopsy results a week or two after the procedure whether or not cancer has been found. Unfortunately, you cannot read anything into the timing of the appointment and what this might mean. The doctor will confirm what the biopsy has shown at the appointment.
