Hello and thanks for your enquiry,
Surgery for TURBT can cause some discomfort, soreness and pain for a couple of weeks after surgery. The bladder has lots of superficial nerve endings that can be affected.
It is important to try and drink alot to help dilute the urine. Aim for around 2 litres fluid intake a day. Taking regular painkillers will help. Do let the GP or hospital team know if stronger painkillers are needed. Sometimes an infection can cause symptoms as well, so do report the current situation to a doctor.
I hope that this improves for her soon,
Kind regards,
Vanda
