I had post menopausal bleeding which led to a hysteracopy and a polypectomy. The result was a cancerous polyp. I am booked in for a ct scan and mri. What will be the next steps. I am very anxious about having an operation as I have never had one.

Hello and thanks for posting
I'm sorry to read about your situation and having to face the possibility of surgery. This is a lot to take in especially when you've never had surgery before.
It is really only your specialist team who will be able to tell you what needs to happen next. The CT and MRI scan will help your doctors get a clearer picture of what's going on. Once they have all the information, they will discuss the best treatment plan with you.
I know it's easier said than done but try and take it one step at a time until you know more. Some people find talking it through with family and friends and keeping busy can sometimes help.
Give us a ring if you would like to talk things over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards,
Celene
