Hi is acute delirium and end of life symptom
Hello and thanks for your post,
I am sorry if someone you know has been affected by cancer. Without being involved in their care and not knowing anything about their cancer it is difficult to comment.
There are other reasons for delirium such as infection or a side effect of medication and the patient really needs to be able to be assessed by a doctor before someone can say what could be the cause.
If the person you know has terminal cancer then acute delirium could occur towards the end of someone's life. The doctors or nurses involved in their care are the best people to give you their opinion of any symptoms that may be happening.
If you feel that you would like to talk to one of the nurses on the helpline then you are welcome to give us a call.
The helpline number is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
Take care,
Catherine
