I am sorry to hear about your situation and appreciate you being worried about needing surgery to remove the basal cell carcinoma.
Sometimes there are other treatments available such as topical chemotherapy creams that can be applied to the bcc but it all depends on the size and location of the bcc as to whether this may be an option.
This is a question best answered by the dermatology department involved in your care, so do ask them.
