  • Hello Julie and thanks for your post,

I am sorry to hear about your situation.

We don't offer benefits advice but you may find it helpful to get in touch with Macmillan as they do have benefits advisors

and they may be able to tell you what you can claim.

The other organisation that you could contact is Citizens Advice. You can book an appointment either in person or on line.

Maggies also offer benefits advice. They are wonderful Cancer Centres offering support for patients going through cancer. If you are not living near a Maggies they can offer on line support.

You must let your surgeon or your breast care nurse know about the pain that you are experiencing. There may be alternative drugs that they could prescribe. It is important that you are able to sleep well following your surgery.

I do hope that you are getting support from your family and friends.

If you would like to ring and chat through any of this with one of the helpline nurses then you are welcome to give us a call.

The number to ring is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5pm.

    All the best,

    Catherine
