My dad has had pancreatic cancer with metastasis throughout his body for about 3 months. I would like to ask if, because of this, I should also get tested for cancerous cells

I am sorry to hear about your dad.
You may find it helpful to look at the information written by Pancreatic CancerUK on information when there is a family history of pancreatic cancer.
There is a study called the Europac trial and you may be eligible to join as it is a close family relative that has been affected by this cancer.
It is a screening trial. They will ask you to fill in a questionnaire and they will tell you whether you will be eligible to join.
You don't need a referral from a doctor you can apply directly.
