White spot on nipple

Hi,

I was just wondering if this was anything to be concerned about and to have checked. For the past month or so I've had a white spot on my nipple, it's not painful or itchy or anything but it does appear to be getting bigger. I am 40 not pregnant or breast feeding and just unsure if this is something I should have checked out or just leave 

Any advice is appreciated

    Unfortunately, we can't diagnose and always suggest that anyone concerned with a new symptom or body change, get it checked out by their GP.

    Most of the time there is a straightforward medical explanation, but it makes sense to get checked out for peace of mind.
