Hi I had a double mastectomy in 2007 , initially you will be on painkillers but you will be fine and able to sleep good luck.

I am sorry to learn that you need to have a mastectomy soon and I can understand that you want to feel prepared.

You have the sort of pillows that would be recommended. It might be a bit of trial and error to find a position that will give you the most comfort whilst resting on your back.
