When I mentioned occasional pains to my consultant last December, he said, if I recall correctly, that I could have them for a while - because of scar tissue? I was just wondering if it is still normal to have them over a year after the operation? Before going to sleep at night there is not only gurgling, twinges, and feeling of something moving, also sometimes a squeezing feeling, and tightening - is all this just part of healing even though over a year ago? Also, recently and just occasionally, when I am seated and turn to the left I have had an ouch at my left side - could that be where the spleen used to be, do you think?
The operation that I had in November 2023 was to remove a sarcoma that necessitated also removing the left kidney, spleen, half the pancreas and half the colon. The operation was called resection retroperitoneal sarcoma left nephrectomy left hemicolectomy splenectomydistal pancreatectomy; I had had a liposarcoma.
