  • Hi Maddygil56 and thank you for your post.

I am sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I can appreciate this must be a difficult time for you.

Individuals often go through a wide range of emotions when diagnosed with cancer. There is truly no right or wrong way to feel. Nausea can sometimes be a physical symptoms of anxiety.

We know that talking can often relieve some of the distress and anxiety.  Macmillan  have some useful advice on how to cope. They have also teamed with BUPA

to offer free counselling for cancer patients.

You may find it helpful to read tips and advice on how to cope with anxiety on the Breast Cancer Now website.

Maggies are also a great source of support for patients and can also provide counselling and talking therapy to help patients process their diagnosis and help people cope and hopefully move forward.

You may want to consult your GP to rule out a physical cause for the nausea. They can also prescribe a mild anti-sickness medication that may help.

I hope reading this helps and the links are useful
