Hello - found out that the tumour I had removed was a glioblastoma

Hi There

I'm sure this has been covered already....apologies, I'm new here. I am 2 weeks post surgery/tumour excavation.

Healing well, found out yesterday that removed tumour was glioblastoma. Now looking at a few months radio/chemo therapy to prevent it coming back.

My doctor is confident of a positive outcome.

thank you.

  • Hello JJ and thank you for posting,

I am sorry to learn of your situation this must be a difficult time.

It is good to hear that you are healing well before you need to have further treatment. I don't know if you have seen this already, we have information about glioblastoma and how it is treated on our website.

I wasn't sure if you had any specific questions you wanted to ask the nurses, or if you would like to speak with someone on our helpline. We are available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and the freephone number to call is 0808 800 4040.

You may also find it helpful to post on a different thread where you may get more posts from people in a similar situation.

Take care JJ and do get back to us if you need to.
