Colonoscopy

My son is due to have a colonoscopy tomorrow he has been very ill with abdominal pain and constantly going to the toilet . The problem is now he took the first drink and afterwards he vomited now we aren’t sure if he should take the second and third drinks or call and cancel . Could anyone tell me please if they know what we should do ? He has waited about 8 months for this appointment so don’t want to cancel . The clinic closed and we have no one to advise . Many thanks

    I was sorry to learn that your son has been having a tough time with the symptoms he is experiencing but also with the drink preparation for the colonoscopy.

    Unfortunately, the nurses are only available 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and I realise that he is likely to have had the test or at least will have spoken to the hospital by now.

    I hope that he can get answers soon about his symptoms.
