I’m still waiting for treatment still doing tests now having a bone marrow test
Hello and thanks for posting
Before the doctors can plan your treatment, they need to assess the extent of the lymphoma. The bone marrow biopsy will help with this, There may be other tests required as well. Once the doctors have all the information they need, they will review you and decide what the best option is to manage your lymphoma. A multidisciplinary team (MDT) with doctors from different sorts of medical specialities are usually involved.
If you've been allocated a specialist nurse at the hospital, they would be the best person to contact to find out when you can expect to hear about your tests and what is planned. If you know the name of the consultant involved, you can contact the hospital to pass a message on to them through their secretary - the hospital switchboard should be able to put him through.
I hope you know more soon. Give us a ring if you would like to talk anything over. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Kind regards,
Celene
