I wonder if Cancer Research UK could consider funding research into Fenbendazole and antihelmintics more generally?
I'm a cancer survivor full belt and braces chemo, radio, surgery.., but my aunt who was diagnosed after me was not doing well under regular treatment and things were looking increasingly dire, until she additionally went on a regimen with antihelmintics prescribed by an alternative practitioner - and her cancer markers that were ever rising (metastatic bc) are now plummeting (to the surprise of her regular docs who would likely have warned her off like Cancer Research UK seems to do as well).
I know it's true that "there is no clinical evidence" as I have read elsewhere on your site. But the clinical trials will never be funded by the pharma industry - since pharma companies will not make money off a medicine that will then be available off-license (and may even reduce the need for their current licensed drugs).
Also, I imagine some people turning to CRUK for advice are patients for whom other treatments have stopped working, and who have not much to lose. So it would be great if CRUK could be really careful not to blanket warn people off treatments that may in fact work. Even I would have thought the idea of turning to a licensed drug for animals like fenbendazole was not sensible, if it weren't for my aunt. Her success also makes me trust Joe Tippins's story. If you have not read it, please do read his entire blog The Blog – Get Busy Living. A charity needs to step in, I think, for the good of cancer patients.
Worth considering? It could be the most impactful Cancer Research study ever.
