Letrozole

Hi I had breast cancer in 2023 and it had spread to one of my lymph node’s. I had chemotherapy and also radiotherapy and am now in remission. I’ve been on Letrozole for about 8 months now and I’m getting really bad pains in my legs, but mainly in my knees.Ive tried to get an appointment at drs but instead I have got a pharmacist calling me. Do you think my pain is the tablets or something else going on

  • Hello Evade1542 and thank you for posting,

I am sorry to learn that you needed treatment for breast cancer. It is good to read that you are in remission.

We cannot say what is causing your symptoms. However, one of the side effects of letrozole is joint pain, so this may be the cause of the pain you are experiencing. However, it is best to be safe and get yourself checked. It might be helpful to contact your breast care nurse, as they know your situation, or perhaps your GP.

I hope you can get some answers soon,

    take care,

    Jemma
