HPV and Colposcopy

I just wanted someone to talk to. I have always been up to date with my smear tests. I tested positive in 2023 for HPV and since then have had yearly smears. Forward to 2025 and I'm still testing positive for HPV. However no abnormal cells were found. I've now been sent for a colposcopy but not till march 11th. My mind is in overdrive and to say I'm worried is an understatement. I've told no one that I'm worried and have been putting on a brave face. What if they missed abnormal cells? would they 3 years in a row? I'm frightened and I'm scared but trying to be brave. I'm scared about the colposcopy too. Sorry just needed to tell someone that would understand.

    I forgot to add, I have had an abnormal discharge that has an offensive smell, I have had this for months, along with on and off back ache and extreme fatigue. I have put this down to the perimenopause and HRT??? Im 45. I assumed that because my appointment isn't until March, that they are not particularly worried?
