Pleomorphic Dermol sarcoma

Hey there I was wondering if anyone could help me please,I have been diagnosed with PDS and was wondering before the lump appeared on the top of my arm if it means the cancer is bad that I have thank you

  • Sorry what I mean is does it mean it’s bad because the tumour has grown through the tissues inside my arm to then become a lump on the outside

  • Hello there and thanks for posting

I am sorry to hear about your situation and appreciate what a worrying time this must be for you.

As you are probably aware Pleomorphic Dermal Sarcoma are a rare type of cancer affecting the skin. The most common symptom of PDS is a lump but do speak with your own specialist team about what needs to happen next for you in terms of treatment and what they are hoping the outcome to be.

Like with all cancer types there are both more or less aggressive ( slower growing) types of PDS and your doctor is in the best position to advise you about yours, so do ask them when you next speak with them.

Wishing you all the best and you know where we are if you need to get back in touch

    Take care

    Naomi
