If your breast cancer comes back, this is also called recurrence, and then the doctors will discuss you at a meeting. The discussion would be about what treatment you have had previously, how, and where the cancer has come back, and your general health at that time. The doctors would then decide what your new treatment plan may be.

This treatment plan may involve radiotherapy if it is to a different part of the body, but radiotherapy is generally not given to the same area twice.
