Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia

I've been diagnosed with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia and severe mental impairment I've got an appointment at a London hospital on Monday and feeling really aggetated as I really don't know what's next I've been told there's no cure just treatment any words of wisdom many thanks people

  • Hello and thanks for your further post.

How CMML is managed is quite variable and will depend on various features of the disease. But the best person to discuss this with is your specialist team when you see them on Monday as they are familiar with all your medical details. They will advise on what needs to happen next

If treatment is needed and works well, many people can continue to live a relatively normal life and may live for years.

We have information on our website on ways of coping and accessing support that you may find useful.

I hope this is of some help. .

    Best wishes,

    Celene
