I had an Endoscopy done on friday, they found a tumour in pancreas/small bowel, had 4 biopsies taken, CT tomorrow, how long will results be, am going out of my mind.
Waiting for tests and test results can be a very anxious and stressful time so I am not surprised by how you are feeling.
Biopsy resultsand CT scan results generally can take 2-4 weeks. However, this will depend on the hospital.
If you are concerned you have been waiting too long for results you can give the consultant's secretary a ring and they may be able to advise you further.
In the meantime, unfortunately, all you can do is sit tight. It is a difficult time and often people feel they have no control over what is going to happen to them. For some people, it can be helpful to carry on with their usual daily activities such as working. For some people, this isn't helpful, there is no right or wrong way.
