How soon will surgery be after dye insert?

Hi there,

My mum has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.  She had a pre op MRI today, where they added the dye to the breast as well.  I was wondering how soon surgery happens after this? Just want to do my best to manage her expectations.

    Unfortunately, I am not able to give you a specific timeframe. Usually surgery is booked in within a few weeks from the last scan/investigation.

    The NHS NICE guidelines say that treatment should begin within 62 days of the initial referral. Hopefully, she will hear from the hospital soon.
