My breast pain is worse.

Hi i found out i had breast cancer at the end of October. I only found this as i had bad breast pain in a lump which i was told was a cyst. Maybe cancer grew near the cyst? 
I would like to know.. 

is it the cancer that hurst? 
it’s a shooting sharp pain across my lump. 
also from my nipple to the back of my breast

sonetimes up into my armpit? 

is there anything i can do to help with the pain? 
it wakes me up at night and i am wearing a stretchy bra all the time.

    I am sorry to hear about your breast cancer diagnosis and the pain you have, This must be a distressing time for you.

    Breast cancers don't burst but it could be touching a nerve that is causing the pain. However, this would be best discussed with your breast cancer doctor as they know your situation much better than I do.

    Do call your breast cancer nurse and tell her about the pain you have. She may be able to tell you why you have it and recommend a painkiller medication that your GP could prescribe.

    You don't mention if you had surgery, if you have this could be causing the pain, so do let your breast cancer nurse about this too.

    Thank you. My surgery has been postponed as for some reason i was referred out of area. I have now asked to be referred closer to my home. 
    i will contact the nurse. I hope it’s not on a nerve!!
