Brain tumour headache query post radiotherapy

Hi there.  I finished radiotherapy on 3rd Dec so almost 3wks ago.  I had resection of my tumour on 27th August.  My tunour was right side and today I have some quite heavy headaches on my left side.  Did anyone else experience alternate side headache post treatment? Just interested in other experiences if anyone would be willing to share? Thank you ali x

    The effects of radiotherapy do continue for some time after treatment has finished, so it is not unusual to experience a headache.

    Do take some simple painkillers, such as paracetamol. Try and avoid doing too much, and build up daily activities gradually. Obviously, if the headaches increase, then do seek medical advice.

    You may wish to consider an online support group run by the UK Brain Tumour Charity They also oversee a Facebook Community page.
