Thank you for your post,
I am sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis of liver cancer and that he is greatly troubled by sweating at night.
Keeping the bedroom cool, and keeping layers of bed linen, so it can be taken away and added rather than one thick duvet, may help. Using natural fibres in bedclothes and linen may help too. Having a cold drink, perhaps in a flask, to keep it cold will be good to sip too. Our website has more information about other things that may help with sweating.
If you have not already done so do let his specialist team know about this. There may be treatment they can give. Also, treating the cancer may help reduce any symptoms your husband has including sweating.
Please get back to us if you need any more information or support. You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on our helpline. The number to call is Freephone 0808 800 4040 and the lines are open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.
Take care
Caroline
