Just my endometriosis or signs of cervical cancer?

So I've always thought there was something wrong down below. I'm December 2023 I had a laparoscopy and they ruled put endometriosis, they were convinced they got rid of all of it. My symptoms haven't really gone anyway, I still get really painful sex, low back pain and bleed after sex. My smears for 3 years have come back with HPV with abnormal cells cin 1. They haven't taken any biopsies as they said its 'low risk' now I've been getting extremely tired recently to the point where I could fall asleep anywhere, really bad headaches and no energy as well as a bit of weird discharge. I'm convinced I have cervical cancer. Is it worth taking a trip to the doctor? I have an underactive thyroid also but I'm on tablets for that and they said my levels were fine.

  • Hello Murrds123

I am sorry to learn that you are having symptoms that are causing concern. Many people contact us because they are worried that the symptoms they have might be caused by cancer. We are unable to diagnose you and the best advice we can give is to go and see your doctor.

Although this can sometimes seem frightening, in most cases the symptoms will be caused by something else other than cancer. But it is always sensible to get any problems you have checked out to be on the safe side.

I hope this reply is helpful. If we can help in any other way please do contact us again. If you would prefer to speak to one of the nurses directly, you can telephone us on 0808 800 4040. We are here from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

    Take care
