I am very sorry to hear about your dad, this must be such a difficult and upsetting time for you.

At the end of life everyone is different but generally speaking when people are sleeping most of the time and are no longer eating or drinking the body systems will gradually shut down. In most cases it will only be a matter of days but for some it may go on for a little longer.

The nurses involved in your dad's care should be able to give you a better idea when your dad is getting closer to the end.

I do hope you have other family and friends to support you at this time.
